FUNdraising Programme
On 5th-6th October SIFE Cardiff offered you a fantastic opportunity to partake in an EVENT MANAGEMENT COURSE.
The course ran for only 2 short evenings and at the end you were presented with a SIFE-endorsed certificate, all for a small fee of £1 per night. Sessions were interactive and benefical with external expert guest speakers who specialise in the area being covered.
Now, we offer all students the chance to apply to be part of a fundraising team, raising money for the new charity 'Education Towards a Future' (www.edtaf.org). A team of 6 (plus two project leaders from SIFE) will have the task of raising money by organising events within Cardiff and also exploring other means of fundraising. This will seek to enhance the student’s skills and knowledge of event management and also their ability to fundraise in general. At the same time, the charity is provided with a fresh perspective on fund raising opportunities, and a key factor in measuring success of the internship will be the extent to which interns transfer knowledge to the charity for a sustained impact on income generation.
