HUGGARD PROJECT - Jan - May 2009
Responding to the newly established SIFE-Consultants, the Development Officer, Mathew Sally, at
one of Cardiff homeless shelters ,the Huggard Centre, approached the
group to complete a review of the centre,,to identify weaknesses and
offer solutions to problems. To operationalise this request SIFE Consultants:
- Advertised
the project and through a formal recruitment process, reduced an
initial pool of 30 candidates to a team of 7 enthusiastic and highly competent individuals.
- Organised team building, project management workshops and mentoring.
The team then conducted
a
month of research and investigation in order to produce a report which
was delivered back to numerous stakeholders at the centre. Feedback
from the experience was very positive from both the clients and the
project participants:
‘This was a great opportunity for me to experience the highs and lows of consultancy and gain some real world experience’. Matt Roberts (Project Consultant).
