Previous Projects and Experience
SIFE Cardiff gains more
experience with each year of projects and as you can see below, now draws on a
wide range of past experiences to bring even more strength and competency to
our current work.

Huggard Project (Jan - May 2009)
Responding
to the newly established SIFE-Consultants, the Development Officer, Mathew
Sally, at one of Cardiff homeless shelters, the Huggard Centre,
approached the group to complete a review of the centre, identify
weaknesses and offer solutions to problems.
Tim's Hats (Nov 2008 - June 2009)
SIFE Consultants worked with a University Student Tim to help develop this business selling fairly traded hats from Peru. Tim was faced with the problem of trying to develop a business alongside a busy podiatry degree and SIFE helped him to balance his commitments by finding retail opportunities that were flexible and even facilitating the hiring of a member of the long term unemployed to help in tough times.

College Educational Project (2008-2009)
Aided
by a grant from HSBC SIFE Cardiff implemented an effective financial literacy
programme for colleges. Time was spent with Business Administration students
from Coleg Glan Hafren who completed a variety of 'business games' related to financial
decisions taking into account insurance, debt etc.
