Rainbow Project
Rainbow Charity Workshops is a small
pottery workshop in Cardiff employing young people from disadvantaged
sectors of the community, aiming to help them to re-enter the workforce
by working in the charity’s pottery workshop and helping them to gain
an enhanced quality of life and contribute back to the community. While
the charity is successful in supporting its small workforce and
providing them with new skills, it is struggling to raise much revenue
from selling the terracotta products made in the workshop. This leaves
the charity reliant on grants and currently unable to realise all the
value in the important work it is doing.
Rainbow needed help
to develop a sustainable marketing strategy to increase its sales and
bring revenue into the charity so it is able to continue its work. It
also needs support to market itself as a charity and identify local
volunteers to continue the work SIFE has set in motion. SIFE Cardiff
has supported the charity and developed marketing campaigns and made
contact with other local groups who may also be able to work wit the
charity.
SIFE Cardiff has helped Rainbow to:
- Develop an improved and easier to use website
- Generated press coverage of the charity’s work
- Developed marketing materials
